Adele Sanna, a Ph.D. Candidate, specializes in Italian Contemporary Literature with an emphasis on Italian women authors (writers and filmmakers) and Mediterranean islands. Her interests include Mediterranean Studies, gender studies, film studies, and Latin-American studies.
Adele was born in Barletta, Italy. She received her B.A. in Foreign Languages and Literatures at Università degli Studi di Siena and her M.A. in Editing at Università per Stranieri di Siena. After working as an instructor of Italian and Spanish in Argentina and the U.S., she completed her M.A. in Italian Studies at University of Virginia.
Her articles appeared in Annali d’Italianistica and other peer-reviewed journals and edited volumes on Italian Studies.
