Peter Stacey (Ph.D. University of Cambridge, UK) is an Associate Professor of History with an appointment also in the UCLA Department of Italian. His primary research interests include Renaissance political theory and intellectual history. Professor Stacey was awarded a fellowship at I Tatti, Harvard Centre for Italian Renaissance Studies, Florence 2007-8, before taking up his post at UCLA in 2008 as Assistant Professor in Mediterranean History. His first book, Roman Monarchy and the Renaissance Prince, was published by Cambridge University Press in 2007.
